Common Entrance Test
The Common Entrance Test (CET) is a competitive exam conducted for the purpose of admission of students to the first year or first semester of full-time courses in medical, dental and engineering courses in professional colleges the various states of India.
CET scores will be shared with the central government, state government, UTs, PSUs, Private sector to facilitate more employment generation.
The exam is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. Cracking CET is comparatively easier than CAT, and as a result of which, there is an escalation in the number of students opting for CET. However, both exams are different methods of testing.
A candidate must have passed 12th with PCM/PCB with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved category).
